This is a nice sleep pad. It's a bit wider than my previous pad and I loved that as it slid around less than other pads I've used. The attached pillow rocks. Here's a tip: don't inflate the pillow completely. It's a lot more comfy with some "give."

I was disappointed with the Primus Sleeping Pad. First of all, It isn't very thick and even though I've used it 5 times, I still have to add a lot of air and when I add air, it leaks out around the nozzle so it takes a lot of work. The first couple of times I used it, it wouldn't even unroll when I opened the nozzle. The pillow does not inflate itself at all. There is no foam in it at all, it's ju

  • Question “I HAVE TRIED OPENING THE VALVES TURNING BOTH WAYS ALL THE WAY, AND THE PAD DOES NOT INFLATE, AM I MISSING SOMETHING? I CANNOT GET IT TO INFLATE. PLEASE HELP”
Asked on 2/23/2013 12:00:00 AM by Cyndy from Unknown
    • Answer This is "foam technology". When you turn the nozzle, you simply allow air to get in the pad and then the foam expands. There is no foam in the pillow so you have to manually add the air.||Try manually adding air to the pad, leave it unrolled over night. After a couple of times, it will self inflate a little easier. ||Be sure to store your pad unrolled so that the foam expands easier when you are ready to use it.||I have never used this pad where I haven't had to manually add air.

  • Question “This pad says it is self-inflating. I rolled it out, and it is not inflating itself. So, did I misunderstand?|Also, it says it comes with a repair kit. What exactly does that look like, as I saw nothing in here but the pad and the bag that holds it when rolled up.”
Asked on 8/18/2012 12:00:00 AM by Maverick from Reno, NV
    • Answer There is a valve on one of the bottom corners. To inflate the pad you will need to fully open the valve, once that is done the pad should start inflating itself. Same for the pillow.
