We use these for salads, desserts, stew, etc. I can see that thin soups could be a problem, as these are very shallow. But we love them, and they stack so efficiently too. I had wanted porcelain particularly, because our stoneware chipped so easily.

    Nice product; lighter weight than some of my other BIA dishes. Good size for salads, soups and stews. Dishwasher and oven safe.
