Bought with a coupon and absolutely love the shoe. Fits on like a glove but a little hard to get on the first time. Excellent grip, would recommend.

For the price this shoe is the perfect balance between aggressive downturn and comfort. At first glance you'll notice this shoe resembles another familiar, very popular, climbing shoe. The one main difference being the lack of the large toe bump on the top of the toe box. Save that one thing these shoes are the exact same shoe as its yellow and black cousin - same last, same rubber, same lace system, same performance. I would say Edelrid did a great job finding a "solution" to the high prices others charge for this level of shoe. Also, just a cool side note: you can take the strap system off of these and use them as slip-ons. Pretty cool.

The raven is a sharply downturned shoe that is very similar to the Solution from LaSportiva. The fit is actually quite comfortable out of the box. They are a bit hard to get on but once you do, they are nice and snug. The heel cup is deep so it may not fit some feet. I have a tiny bit of dead space in the heel (the fit and velcro make it a non-issue for me) and a perfectly squeezed fit in the toe box. Sizing: My street shoe is a 9.5-10 USA sizing and I returned these shoes twice to get the size right. I ended up with a USA 10 Other sizes I use for reference: 510 moccasym- 8.5usa, 510 Blackwing- 10usa, 510 Jet 7 -9.5usa, LaSportiva miura xsv velcro-8usa, 510 project-9.5usa

these shoes are a great deal, Edelrids version of the Solution minus the toe bump inside. sizing is tricky if you cant try them on but if you want them tight order a uk half size below your us street shoe size, mens, i wear a us 7.5 and got a uk 7 they are very tight but still comfortable out of the box.they have a deep heal cup and a lot of pressure on th achilles (may be good or bad )I have mortons toe and a fairly narrow foot. no baggy or loose spots.you can wear them without the strap at first then install the strap when they stretch a little. the adjustability is nice.they are a little hard to put on at first. they have great rubber Vibram Sgrip

  • Question “I was wondering if the sizing chart from which to choose from was scaled in a US or UK chart. Also, the product detail recommends that you buy a whole size larger. Likewise, is that a whole size larger than the average climbing shoe or street shoe?”

    • Answer The sizes shown are UK if you slick on them the US equivalent is displayed. You would choose a size larger than your climbing shoe size.
