First it's well padded and adjustable. I'm a male, 5'5" and 140 pounds. I've always had large packs which I overfilled. Can't do that with this pack. It's designed for short trips and at 56 years old that's perfect. Designed for a camel back bladder. Lots of place to hide things. Best for mi... Read More

The only reason I'm not giving this give stars is because the straps for the sleeping pad and sleeping bag are so small. I had to put my sleeping bag inside the pack and use the compressor straps that are inside. This made me loose a lot of space inside the pack.

Probably the best feature of this pack is the fact that it completely zips open like a suitcase. It makes everything easily accessible as opposed to the packs where you stuff everything in and can't see what's below the items on top. It fits quite a bit of clothing. We will be using it for a week long visit to Tanzania.

Seems like a great pack. I've had it out once and it rode very well. The storage compartments deserve some credit. It's very easy to pack since you're opening up the front to do so instead of cramming everything in the top. The hydration sleeve was also well done. I've had packs before where the hydration sleeve is just for show and when you actually try to put anything into it along with gear, it's futile. Overall a well executed pack.

I'm a minimalist camper and this pack is just what I was looking for. More expensive packs with their delicate looking fabrics and 100's of compression straps intimidate the hell out of me, so I was immediately drawn to this Marmot bag. Now that I've had a chance to try it on and adjust it a little to my body.... I love it even more! The internal frame is stiff but nice and comfy and I look forward to many years of huffin' this stout beauty over many miles of trails.

It's a simple equation: Great Manufacturer (Marmot) + Great Distributor (Sierra Trading) @ Great Price ($54) = Extremely Satisfied Customer!
