The shaft was a different story however - the leather was so dry that it didn't even feel like leather, and there were signs that the leather had started cracking in places. The description listed the boots as closeouts, and the only thing I can figure is that they were extremely old stock that had not been stored properly. These boots are the only thing so far I've received from STP that I've been dissatisfied with.
