I would recommend this to someone that wants some
support from a day pack. Room for essentials,
but not too big. Looks well made.

I am five feet tall and was looking for a smaller pack that also has a hip belt to support my school supplies/groceries, and to use for my regular day-to-day running around Atlanta on foot and bicycle. The pack claimed to be 16 1/2 inches high. It is actually 19 inches high, taller than the one I *was* using. I just couldn't get a comfortable fit with the straps, no matter how I adjusted them. If I set it low enough on my hips for the hip belt to function properly, I had to make the shoulder straps so long that they were loose on the sides, and adjusting the sternum strap didn't help. If I ignored the hip belt and made the shoulder straps comfortably taught, the pack bumped into the back of my head.
The pack has some neat features, like being able to tighten a lumbar panel that shortens the pack length and pushes it further from your spine, but this didn't help it fit better.
The sternum whistle is useless; it's barely audible. And the top-access zipper doesn't open wide enough for comfort. The front pocket is long and thin, only as wide as the two front seams that run down the front along the colored wedges. The hip belt pocket is big enough for a flip phone, but not a better-brand smart phone, not even an iphone.
This pack would probably be good for someone taller, who doesn't mind a narrow access to the main compartment.
