I Was worried the SAS ones would be inferior but they are not. I need black for winter, so I bought 5 prs. At this price I Will order more before they are gone .

I was looking for a non-cotton sock for running, hiking, and cross-country skiing that wouldn't wear out after a few uses, and I think these will fit the bill. I originally bought shorter version of these SAS socks and liked them so much I bought the higher-cut crew socks for more coverage in the winter. They are supposedly irregular, but I haven't found any glaring flaws yet, and I have a few pairs.

I don't mind buying irregular socks (especially at a good price), but it should have been in the description of the product.

My other acrylic socks have a sort of plush feel that these do not. These are also thinner than I expected, but then again the description does say lightweight. They appear to be well made, just not what I was looking for and I will probably return them.
