I am doing a week long bike ride with camping and need something waterproof so that when it gets put on the ground(which may be wet) my stuff will stay dry. I'll tell you right now that they clasp does not go up as is shown in the picture but is angled 90 degrees away from where you see it in the picture after you get through rolling the open end to keep water from going in the top. This also means that you will lose 6 inches in height and will not be able to get as much in as the total volume states. I kinda figured that out when I ordered but it is good to be reminded. Price was right so even if I don't end up using them they are worth having around just in case.

The zipper is just to a pocket, not into the bag, which another poster had claimed. (The other poster was correct, that the zipper would be a weak spot - hard for zippers to be truly waterproof. This zipper isn't trying to be; it states that the pocket is only splash proof, so make sure you protect whatever you put in there if needed. However, it gives a super convenient location for wallet (in a ziploc or two), keys, sunscreen or whatever else you want to keep handy.) Overall, I think it will be a great bag, and I love the clear panel version as then you can see what is in the bag. (On longer river trips things usually shift around a little, so this will make it easier to find...)

The only downside that I noted on this bag is the zipper. I thought that it was a pocket, but it's just an entry point and not very big at that. It's a YKK zipper, but zippers are always weak points.
