The first jacket said 44r like all my jackets at home. It was four sizes two big. Tried the next size down and still too big. Went down again and the coat tag said 40r, but it was missing the shoulder straps and inside the coat says 42r. Three strikes and all went back. Horrible experience. I'm gone.

I have been looking for a long double breasted trench coat with some style for years. Found this one at Sierra Trading Post and it looked good online. Even better when it arrived.

The belt is held in place at the buckle end (so it will not slip through the beltloop) by a button tab attaching the belt to the loop, BUT the other end of the belt, which, having no buckle, is much more likely to slip through the loop, has no retaining tab. Also, the belt is very long, and it has one loop in the belt into which the loose end is to be tucked after the belt is buckled, but that one

Before I purchased I read all the reviews and was concerned that the coat would be too large for the indicated size. As long as you understand that the coat is cut to fit with the liner over a suit/sport coat, your normal suit size should be fine. I am 6'-1", need 36/37 inch shirt sleeves and take a 46L suit. I ordered the 46L coat and found the shoulder fit, coat length and sleeve length to be perfect. The only size fault was that the coat was larger around the waist than I would prefer. If you don't plan on wearing the liner, or don't plan to wear it over a suit/sport coat, then you will probably need to take a smaller size.
Not a Burberry, but the quality of the materials and construction is very good for the cost, with the exception of the flimsy buckle. I would recommend this to a friend, particularly if you can pick it up on one of those days at an extra 45% off with free shipping. Overall a very nice coat and a very good value.
Question
“1) Is the coat more of a cloth texture or that crinkly, polyester texture?
2) I have a nice winter coat. Looking for a nice spring/summer coat. Is this lightweight?”

Answer
Due to the nature of the closeout business, we often receive items in limited quantities. Occasionally we are able to reorder a product, but closeout items are typically unable to be reordered.

“What happened to the Olive color choice? Are these not produced in that color anymore?”

Answer
It is a light weight liner but the cotton/polyester exterior is a great wind break so combined it does a great job. It is also lighter to wear than others I have had.
