These really do a nice job of blocking the cold wind. They are too thin to be considered winter wear or ski wear on their own, though. They're sized for a nice slim fit. If you want to layer, order a size larger. These pants are so nicely tailored that I wear them to the office as well.

Nice pants, good quality and fit is true to size. I'm a 10 and the 10 fits fine. I'm also 5'2" and the length was good for me, not too long. The pants are good for lightweight hiking or skiing if it's really warm out, like 50 degrees. Wind-resistant but not waterproof. Great pair of pants, flattering fit!

Haven't had a chance to wear them on a hike yet, but they fit comfortably with no noticeable fabric swishy sound when it rubs together (the worst). Somewhat stretchy material with a pleasant texture. Size 10 fits somewhat snug on the legs (athletic build) and a bit loose in the waist 5'9" 160lb. Belt should fix that.

These are sharp looking hiking/walking pants, as well as, run around town and out for a casual dinner pant. They have a nice narrow bottom too, unlike many hiking pants. My one negative thought as the sizing a little tough. The 8 (which I run between 6-8 most pants) was good in hips, tight in thighs. The 10 too large in hips and crotch length, but legs perfect. I went back to the 8, and wear them a lot. Legs don't really stretch, but since they are nylon you can get away with the snugness.

I originally was buying these for x-country skiing, but they are much to thin for that activity. They also run a little small, not really en entire size small (tried that then they were too big) but you wouldn't be able to fit think long underwear under either they way they are cut. That being said, I LOVED the light nylon fabric for wearing around and hiking/walking so I kept them.

I am 5'2", 115 lbs. I bought a size 38 which is slightly bigger than I need because I wanted to wear a base layer underneath for winter activities. Without a base layer it should be OK with a belt. I am over 50 and don't like clothes tight. Probably 4" too long. If I don't get them hemmed, I should be able to roll them up since they are fairly narrow at the ankle. I have not worn them for my intended purpose of hiking in damp conditions so I can't report on that.
