I normally fish with high end 4 and 5 weight fly rods. I bought this for fishing larger rivers and lakes on windy days. This rod has not disappointed, and at a fraction of the price I typically spend on a rod. The rod is a lot stiffer than I'm used to, but that is what I was looking for in this case. Not a rod for small water!

Still can't believe I paid so little for this. I got the 8wt and have used it for striper. I'm not an expert fly fisher but this definitely is more than adequate for my needs and abilities. Mine came with a rod/reel case as well.
