Reordered in a medium, which was significantly larger. The short is a modest length and is typical Brooks quality. I'm letting my mom decide if she wants to keep it.

Reviewed by Michal from Utah on Wednesday, May 15, 2013I am 5'7" and weigh 135 and got a medium. It's a fitted fit, but a large would have definitely been too big, so I'm sticking with the medium. This is the first time I've worn running shorts while running--I usually go with capri tights. I love these shorts! The 4-5" seam is great--not too short and not too long, light-weight, and very comfortable while running.

I like that they have a drawstring in the waistband.They fit very well (perhaps a smidge roomier than expected, so perrhaps they run a tad large). Very comfortable, the inseam seems to be accurate and I feel like I have adequate coverage (I'm pretty modest when it comes to my running clothes). I haven't actually run in them yet (it's still pretty cool here) so assuming they don't ride up or bunch up I'm most likely going to buy a pair in several other colors since a 5" inseam is hard to find.
