Great introductory book. My son and I read it together and had a good introduction to the basic geology of interest to climbers and mountaineers. Falcon guides are always good and this a good title to have on the kinds of rocks in various climbign areas and the background geological discussion.

I bought this for my son, who teaches rock climbing. He loved it and thought it was a great find. I don't think you can go wrong getting it.

Nice description of the geology of climbing areas around the world. Great for some armchair fantasizing as well as places to go see.
