As I found myself planning a week of beach and kayaking at Tybee Island, I decided to purchase this medium to heavy rod/reel combo. I was delighted to get a well made rod and a very smooth reel. Must be the extra bearings. I look forward to catching some medium/heavy fish..........A great value, especially with the extra 30% off.

I wanted something like what I have only with the only difference being a spinning, not bait casting, reel. This combo not only provided a comparable reel but had a graphite rod much like the one I use now for inshore fishing. The price was far within what I had budgeted for this purchase. Garcia products have been known for quality. This is my first spinning reel since the early Garcia Mitchell line and so far it feels well made.
