    These are very well tied indeed. I would ignore Moucheur's review as I doubt he/she actually has any of these flies as I do. They are generally very well proportioned as compared to the picture which has the elk hair the tiniest bit long and the hackle much more sparse than most of the the actual flies. There is some variation in the actual flies as would always be expected. Trust me, the fish couldn't care less. I'm not sure exactly what kind of hook these are but they seem just fine.

    Good fly on the surface is better than any fly in the air. This fly properly treated floats high and long. Now you have to know where the trout are lying in the stream and position yourself properly and the fly for success.
