It fit ok with a regular shirt underneath but I plan on layering with something heavier. Probably could have gotten by in the medium but prefer just a lttile more room in the large. I like all of the zippered pockets for security,.

I got a large, and it's definitely cut for a pear-shaped woman, not an hourglass-shaped woman. It is small in the bust and flares over the hips. Almost returned it, but it is such a nice quality product that I decided to keep it and unbutton the top button to give it a little more room. Have gotten compliments on it.

Will wear walking the dog, fishing, shooting and long drives. I bought the matching jacket in the same size but the fit was different. The jacket was tight across the shoulders and through the bust. The vest is perfect. With no sleeves it allows for movement through the shoulders. I would call this med weight.
