I bought the Lorpen's Hunt-Work socks for my wife. She works in a hospital and is on her feet most of her shift. She likes them. We could not tell they were seconds.

These are thick, but I question the quality. The seams do not seem to be sewn that well. One sock had a pea sized hole in the toe box seam, fresh out of the box. Since I only paid around $4 for 2 pair I am not too concerned. The sock seems warm and should last through a season.
