I bought these for my 5 yr old son to have something easy to take on/off for quick trips outside the house this winter. We've been doing heavy socks and crocs up until now, and as he likes to be barefoot around the house I thought these would be perfect. I was a bit disappointed when I took them out of the box. Although they are beautiful (look just like Uggs!) they looked HUGE and I could tell the sole was going to be supper slippery, especially on carpet (they are). When I put them on my son, we had to struggle a bit(they fit securely on the foot and around the heel, so although they don't slip right on they stay on securely) and he clomped around for a while getting used to them, he LOVES them. He does love to experiment with hats and shoes and the like, perhaps a child that is more picky would not like how they are different from a sneaker. Overall, I am happy with the purchase - they are a GREAT deal; the biggest downside is that slippery sole. I'm hoping that they will be less slippery once he scuffs them up a little. p.s. RE size - my son is a 11-11.5, I ordered the 12 and as I said they seem huge. But I'm glad I didn't order the 11, I think they would have been too hard to get on.

Reviewed by Hanging with our boys from Wilmington, DE on Tuesday, February 05, 2013The only reason I can't give these 5 stars is because we are having to exchange one pair due to the stitching coming out along the trim. We ordered two pair - black for our eldest, and light brown for the youngest. The black pair have been awesome, and our son loves them! The brown pair, however, started to unravel right after we got them. But, our little guy likes them so much that he begged us to get him another pair - so we have ordered a black pair for him as well since we had no such trouble with the other black pair. Hoping this one will be fine. They both think they are extremely comfortable and warm. I don't have to ask them to put on their slippers anymore because they are wearing them all the time now!
