Bought these for my husband who manages a farm year round in WNY. The exterior is softer than most Carhart pants which is nice because you don't have to break them in. The flannel lined pant is a bonus for the cold days he's outside. Wish I had purchased more than 1 pair, can't beat the price!! ... Read More

These are very comfy pants. When I pulled them out of the box I was surprised by two things:
    1. This is not the standard heavy stiff Carhartt duck fabric. It is a much softer washed fabric that feels supple and broken in. At first I was disappointed, but as soon as I put them on I enjoyed feeling almost like I was wearing sweats and decided to keep them.
    2. The fit doesn't seem the same as the standard Carhartt dungaree cut. For me that standard cut is usually quite baggy and not particularly flattering. I am a cyclist so I have muscular legs, but I do not fill out the pants in my waist size at all. Usually I find the crotch hangs too low and there's too much room in the seat and thigh in that cut so I just end up looking much huskier than I am. By contrast, I found that while these are not 'slim fit' they fit a little closer and have a more flattering modern look. So if you're used to the standard dungaree fit, just take that into consideration.

Carhart is known for work wear that is tough enough to hold up to heavy use. These seem no exception. They are a heavy weight cotton fabric with a soft flannel lining. They also are flexible enough to move around in comfortably. Lately I've been running into (and out of) pants that are grossly over sized and began to wonder if I was losing too much weight. Carhart restored my confidence. They are relaxed fit too and should hold up to washing and some minor shrinkage. Not owning a car I find my self waiting in the cold or hopping on and off public transportation. These will keep me warm in the cooler Oregon winter's and comfortable inside for a few hours without overheating. While cotton is not recommended for rain, the winters here have been dry lately and an umbrella should protect them from most any regular use. I don't work in them but find them fashionable with a traditional fit in the legs, butt and waist.

Honesty cannot decipher why this is considered a second.
Carhartt's seconds are better than other's firsts !
As others say, these pants are soft, inside and out.
After first wash, fit is just the least bit tighter than usual Carhartt fit..
    And the kicker, unbeatable price.

Received these quick and could not believe how soft he material felt, would of thought for these being for construction work they would of felt rough. My husband always wanted these but he is very cheap so I got him three pairs for his birthday ad he just loves them.
It is not winter time yet so then will we be able to see how they hold up and how warm they really are. My husband is really rough on his clothes so time will tell.
