Reviewed by Elizabeth from North Carolina on Monday, April 08, 2013I prefer to be barefoot so these shoes are perfect. I actually like them better than my Merrell Mary Jane "barefoot" shoes. The fabric on these is ventilated, sole is super flexible and upper is comfortable. There is no arch support but there is a little cushioning in the sole. I read that the upper rubbed some heels but the upper on mine is soft, no rubbing.

Reviewed by NJlegal from NJ on Monday, March 18, 2013I was looking for a shoe that was not as bulky as a sneaker, but provided some stability and comfort for day-to-day wear around the house and out on errands. A wide shoe is usually too wide in the heel and I need the width in the toe area. This shoe fills the bill exactly with the medium width. It has a wide toe area but fits perfectly throughout the rest of the shoe. It's perfect with a light sock or w/o socks. It's breathable and will be perfect to wear outside in warmer weather. I also use this shoe when I'm exercising and on the treadmill, and it works beautifully without the clunky sneaker feel. Great buy!

I have 3 other pairs of New Balance minimus shoes, but they are tennis shoe type and I wear them with socks, so I think that is why they are much more comfortable and avoid the rub.

I like to walk or use the elliptical before or after class, and these shoes work well for that. Also, they have a nice wide toe box. I have trouble with pain at the ball of my foot and toes, and these shoes provide enough room. Just wish there was a little more shape to the arch.
