Most Helpful 5-Star Review

I really liked this jacket. Had a great cut and just enough pockets to stash your phone and wallet and whatever else you need. Perfect for the urban dweller. My problem was in the sizing. I'm 5' 9", 175lbs, 42" chest, 35" waist. I couldn't get a good fit with the medium or the large. In the large I ... Read More

I don't really need this for home, but am expecting to take a winter trips in the future to cold , rainy locales. The jacket arrived faster than expected. I was very pleased with the design- a severe weather rain jacket with full time lined hood that has a stiff visor to keep the rain off the face. (Does not tuck away) The interior lining feels like a layer of down and is warm. Its a nice compromise between a "city " jacket and a wilderness type garment. It hangs a little longer than my suit coat, and has two shielded zipper glove pockets and two chest pockets, velcro cuffs and velcro tabs that keep the jacket together if you don't want to zip it up. I'm 5'8", 155 lbs. and a size 40 short, and the medium is just right for my tastes. Theres room for a couple layers should it be desired. I gave it a 5 partially on value, because of closeout price, but also in absolute terms because it was everything I was expecting it to be. It's a quality jacket.

this jacket is 100% water proof. I was worried when I got it that it would be too big i got it in a size large. I'm 6feet tall and it fit perfectly with enough room to fit my fleece columbia jacket underneath that I also puchased from this company.

This is an excellent casual jacket for those of us who already have a wide range of technical shells for our weekend warrior lifestyle, but also have a white-collar job to fill during the week. Light insulation is good to about 30F, any lower than that and you'll want a fleece underneath if you're going to be out for a long time and not doing any hard work. I'm 6'0" 170 lbs and a medium fits me perfect with no other layers, but if I add a fleece underneath it gets a little tight across the back shoulders when extending arms. Also, arms could be 1" longer. Overall, a great deal if you can get it for less than $150. I would buy it again!

I cannot believe i am giving a MH jacket one star, but i am disgusted at their abandonment of reliable sizing templates. This is the first "between sizes" jacket i've owned from them (and i have owned and given away as hand-me-downs 6 jackets). The large is an ocean, and the medium is too restrictive. hopefully this is a brief awkward phase for an otherwise stellar company. I am 6ft 190lb and a Large ALWAYS fit perfectly....until now.
