I was able to play tennis again without icing and physic, etc afterwards. These heel cup insoles are recommended by sports medicine professionals.

I was getting strain/pain in the back of my knee and thought I could use some additional support that would act as a shim to keep my heel elevated and supported. Have skied about 7 days with them and have decreased pain in my knee. These do take up a fair bit of room in the boot and I cannot tighten my boots as before but this has not been a big issue. I have not put these in walking shoes to try them out, but plan to.
