The support is good, the sole is really great. It's a non slip rubber and feels good walking. I've worn them outside too and they work fine.

Without socks, they were too loose to wear as slippers or very casual summer shoes. I can't imagine a situation where I would want to wear them with socks. They are not something that would hold up to winter or wet weather despite a very nice sole. The fleece footbed and the felt uppers will likely keep your foot warm. They may be nice with shorts or lightweight scruffy pants in spring and fall with out socks. If they become available again I might order again in 1/2 size smaller.
