Secondly, the zipper mechanism attaches and moves very smoothly and without a hitch. Zippered pockets are a big plus. Effective sealing at wrists. Nothing the least bulky or movement restricting about this jacket. It is very easy to wear and quite sharp in appearance. This is one high quality item.

Reviewed by WileEC from Nampa, ID on Tuesday, February 12, 2013I purchased this to be my run-around coat and it is good for that. I like that the hood is detachable. I like the use of snaps, not velcro for most of the closures. Good storm flaps behind the zipper. I value the two external cargo pockets, in addition to the two slash pockets and two chest pockets for maps, gloves, etc. with waterproof zippers. I was surprised the coat had only one small internal pocket - clearly intended for a music player. I'm used to having one or two internal pockets large enough for a checkbook, gloves, or even a fleece scarf. The other thing that is a surprise is the main cuffs are adjustable via snaps. This is a location that I prefer to be adjustable with velcro. Overall, it's a great looking coat with a good mix of external pockets, use of convenient snaps for quick closure, and lightweight insulation to keep one warm.

First the external zippers IMHO should go down to close placing the only gap droplets can enter at the bottom of the pocket instead of the top. Last the hood is slightly longish, probably made to cover head with stocking cap. Otherwise this is an extremely well made, functional, warm yet non-bulky heavy jacket.
