Reviewed by Jill from St. Paul, MN on Tuesday, February 19, 2013I chose these Sorel boots to replace a pair of Blondo boots that I have had for over 10 years. I also have an even older pair of Sorels which I still use. So the Sorel brand means durability and warmth to me. I chose the Joan of Arctic boots because of the anticipated warmth, styling, and durability. I really like them and will keep them but the (relatively) decorative snaps on either side of both boots which are meant to hold the lining inside the leather outer boot broke within a few days of wearing. I was really disappointed in this but wanted to keep the boots and had the snaps replaced at a local shoe repair shop. This process was a pain and I did not want to pay for the repair but Sierra Trading no longer had a replacement pair and would not pay for the repairs. They did, however, give me a gift card to use toward future purchases at Sierra Trading for the amount it cost to repair the snaps. Disappointed that the Sorel brand had this immediate defect but hoping that the boots now will last a really long time!

I've worn them several times in temps hovering around 0*F and my feet have stayed nice and warm in my Sorel's! I normally wear a 9.5, but I ordered these in a 9 and they fit perfectly. You can't beat the value for the price! These boots were made with quality in mind.
