It just didn't work out for me as I was giving this for a gift. The flaw might not be a problem for others. The size seemed OK. Sorry it didn't work out.

It is very light and airy looking. Nice and long for a tall lanky girls. Great price. Have not washed yet, so that will be the test.

Answer You might get away with a 18. Since a girls size 18 fits chest sizes 34 inches and a size 8 in women's is a 35 inch bust, they are close.
