Very good quality, feminine (as far as winter coats go), comfortable & warm = very happy with this coat! Got it after the winter season so I'm looking forward to wearing it next year... Best price around, thanks Derailed!

Figure flattering and a little different from the standard black jacket. Cool detailing too.

Wore this jacket in cold, windy, rainy, snowy conditions during a 10-day trip. It was nice and warm with a few layers underneath and I stayed dry. At higher wind levels I could feel the chill in my arms, but not my body. Like that the hood is removable and that it zips from both the top and bottom because when sitting, it helps to unzip the bottom a bit to allow leg movement when getting in/out of vehicles. I think this brand runs small. I normally wear 10-12, but bought an XL and was glad I did - the extra room allowed comfortable layering of a long sleeve t-shirt and a light cardigan sweater. I really like that the coat has snaps and not 'velcro' to secure the flap over the zipper - no sticking to scarves. The tall collar is lined with soft fabric that feels very comfortable against the chin. The hood is just a little too big for me - when it's up, you definitely stay warm, but it's difficult to see (I chose to stay warm) around the top and sides. Overall, a good purchase.

Ok, first-things-first: This is not a "jacket." It is a COAT in every sense of the word. I am 5'9" and it is nearly to my knee. And it is super warm. I think it's actually a bit much for nearly-everyday wear our Pacific Northwest climate if one lives near sea level. I think this would work better in the mountains or in a colder (read: snowier) climate. I purchased this because the Lole "Clowdy" coat was sold out in my size, but I would definitely have preferred that one -- it's 3" shorter and a pound (!) lighter. This coat will definitely keep out the cold, but it is also remarkably heavy on your body when worn. Although it has a sleek cut and does not make you look like a Michelin man (puffy). Lots of very high-end details for which Lole is famous. Beautiful areas of soft fleece inside. This coat looks like it would last a decade or more -- extraordinary construction. Would have kept if I lived in a different place.
