Hard to find decent pants to fit me 38W/36L and I decided to take a chance on these even though they were tagged "fishing pants." Used them on an overnight backpacking trip with my brother. Mud, rain, snow...we had it all. The pants performed well. Dried quickly. Looking forward to using them again when I head out this year with my sons scout troop to camp.

It fit like a bag, with legs much too large in circumference. As with a lot of clothes for tall men, it assumes that if you are tall, you are also big. I was afraid it would tear the first time out in the backcountry and would not recommend it for hiking or backpacking. I returned it and probably would not order anything again in tall sizes from Columbia as a result of this experience.
