The ankle gators kept snow out of the boots and the fabric sheds snow. In low single digit temps with wind chill, my boys stayed warm and dry. They both loved the trendy plaid and the pants were so comfortable, the didn't want to take them off. After several hard uses, they still look new. They dry quickly so are ready for action.
