I have had these boots for almost a month and the are holding up great. They are light weight. They have been out in the rain, mud and snow and have kept my feet dry. Little break-in required, although they were a little stiff around the ankle and took a while to soften up. Other than that no complaints, it seems to be a good light weight boot for day hikes.

Legendary Keen fit and style - you like it or you don't. Comfortable out of the box. Beautiful color. BUT, they don't breath or wick moisture. Never a problem with sweating feet before, even in heavy insulated boots. Wore these hiking in forty degree weather, foot bed soaking wet within a few hours on the trail. When temperatures dropped at night my feet near froze. Had to switch to camp moccasins. Worn many a pair of Keen boots and shoes over the years. This was the first "Made in China" pair. Inferior materials and workmanship to what Keen was (are they still?) producing in Portland. Hopefully, they wise up and stop sacrificing USA made quality on the altar of higher profits. If not, I predict they fade away, like another once great American made footwear company - H. S. Trask.

When these came out in Backpacker as a staff pick for a tough boot, I bought a pair. I believe that was 2010. They are almost unbelievably light in weight, and seem to get lighter as the miles go by. That great big Keen toe box lets your toes do what they have to do, and it would be pretty difficult to go back to a narrower toe boot, like Danner after these. I've worn them around town, and way above treeline for a week. You only need to take 'em off to get into your sleeping bag. They support my ankle perfectly, pulling the heel right back into the pocket. The only issue is the sole. The uppers would probably last almost your lifetime if you could resole the boot. But as it is, I wore the soles out in a couple of years. Still, that's a fair number of miles. For the money and the comfort, I can afford to wear out a couple of pairs of these. I had no idea they came in this cool green color, but [...]ed up the last pair in my size. Now, I fear, Keen has discontinued them. Hopefully, they'll replace it with something as excellent, but with a little more sole.
