I decided to add a waterproofing treatment (nixwax) before getting them wet. Last weekend, I went dayhiking in them and tested them out on the trail, off the trail, and in the creek. Passed with an A+

I suggest treating the leather with waterproofing. Great for trail hiking or just plain walking. If your a comfort oriented person who does moderate outdoor activities these will suit you well.
