I've had these a couple of months and used on several training runs and the trip up the snowfield to Camp Muir on Rainier. I took these straight out of the box and ran several miles with no blisters. After that I took them as my only shoe on several longer distance backpacking trips with 35 to 52 pounds of pack weight. Zero complaints, zero blisters or sore spots, and zero leaks. I wore them with knee high gaitors in the snowfield and had no problems. Because of this, these will most likely be my winter backpacking shoe too. I primarily use them for work when it's raining because they even look good with khaki pants. A definite buy.

Comfortable, light, kept me dry. Not much cushion and felt every rock under my feet.

I purchased these just before I took a trip to Alaska. I used them for a snow-shoe hike and walking over glaziers and they worked pretty well. They're very comfortable and I love the look of them. I only gave a 4 out of 5 because the heel of the shoes comes down a lot lower than most. I found that if I didn't have them tied tight enough my heel would slip out occasionally. I would still recommend these.

These are "4 arrow" designated, and definitely felt more cushy than my 3 arrow models. The only problem was it ran a bit tighter than my other Roclites...I have a pair of the 295, and these 318s had a narrower toebox. I noticed just a bit more rub on the outer pinky toe, which I know would have probably meant lots of trouble after a few miles out on the trail. Oddly enough, even though tighter in the toe than the 295s, they fit looser in the heel. I definitely had more heel slippage in the 318 even just walking around in the house..didn't form to the foot quite as well as my 295s. I really wanted to like these as I love Inov8 stuff and the grippy sole (same as on the 295) is superb on most every surface I've used them on. The fit just wasn't there for me with these..I didn't notice it from the pictures but the 318 has a different heel structure and I think that made the difference. To repeat though, the cushion was great and I'd love to find a four arrow pair that fits me as well as my 295s. I also have a pair of the 3-arrow slightly more cushioned 343 gtx mid height shoes and they fit great as well, maybe even more toe room than the 295s..run pretty big. Great for swapping out insoles, thicker socks, etc. I had to send the 318s back, but I don't want to diminish their merits just because they didn't fit my foot well. If you like a bit more overall support, and cushion, these are worth a try to see if they hug your puppies the right way. Happy trails!
