Can't go wrong with these! I love to wear these in the winter with a vest for casual wear. Keeps me toasty without overheating and no bulk! Fairly soft too - no itch! I bought two crew neck styles and this one. Should get me through these rainy/cold northwest winters.

The fit is great, fo... Read More

I haven't worn this yet as it is too hot now, but look forward to wearing this next winter both as a top layer and base layer. Very well made, fits well and is not itchy. The chevron pattern is a nice change from plain.

Bought this in late spring, so have road tested it yet, but just trying it on made me long for fall! A Med fit perfectly (normally wear an 8-10 in tops). The material is soft and not too thick, and the length is long enough to where it won't ride up. I know I'm going to get a lot of wear out of this shirt!

This would absolutely get five stars were it not for the fact that for ME the arms are a bit short. I'm 5'11, slender, and got a . It fit perfectly except for my desire to have arms that pass my wrist. Very nice wool, and great construction.

These Smartwool base layers are attractive, comfortable, and functional. They work from temperate zones to below freezing. I layer them for skiifor cold evenings when backpacking. They look great with almost anything.

I shouldn't review these things because every time I do they sell out and I can't get any more! But If you like merino wool this is the shirt to have. I am about 5'8" and 140lbs and buy the med and they are perfect. I buy a small if I want it fitted close to my body for layering for hunting season, so I have a couple of both sizes. The sleeves are plenty long for me an I have long arms, but they are fitted at the wrist so if you have shorter sleeves they shouldn't be a problem. They are longer in the body so you don't expose your entire back side when you bend over. I wash these in Nikwax wool wash which you can also buy on sierra and they wash like a dream!!! They are heavier than a lot of merino wool and I like that. They are a tiny bit itchy at first but that goes away with the first wash. Itchy wool doesn't bother me so I'm good either way. They breath, they don't hold scent, they are warm and they are beautiful. I have 6 different colors and styles and have the matching bottoms and have not been disappointed!
