Great quality midweight top. Nice length for taller people, quality material, and washed nicely.

I've not owned this piece long however I do have a number of Smartwool items and I'm very pleased so far. It's soft and light but as warm as other much heavier weight items I own. Haven't noticed an itch yet and the price I paid from STP made the purchase even better, so much so that I purchased two. It's great for hiking, biking, skiing...you name it. The fit is perfect (XL - 6'1", 215lbs.).

I wear a size medium in everything. I also own another mid-weight Smartwool L/S 1/4 Zip shirt purchased about 10 years ago. This shirt has three major differences versus my previous shirt:
    1. Thumb holes in the sleeves on this one
    2. Longer zip as shown, 1/2 zip instead of 1/4 zip on my prior shirt
    3. The body of the shirt is 2" too long. THE PICTURE IS INACCURATE.

The picture shown by sierra trading post at the time of the writing shows the body of the shirt as 1" to 2" shorter than the sleeves. But that's not representative or accurate. The body of the shirt is longer than the sleeves. On my body, the shirt ridiculously comes down past 2/3rd of my butt like one of those shirts that girls wear. The sleeve length is fine for me. Sleeves come down to the tops of my knuckles which is OK given the thumb holes.

I'm not incredibly happy with the shirt, even at the price paid. it's worth less to me as something that fits wrong and that the picture was not representative. This is the type of gear you buy once a decade and expect it to last. As such, it's disappointing that it fits poorly.

Smartwool is my new favorite baselayer, after hiking in really cold weather my under armour would get damp from sweat and I would have to put a dry shirt on in order to stay warm once I stopped. The smart wool keepa me warm in temps around 10-20 degrees even after sweating.

Like all of my previous SmartWool purchases, this shirt is very warm, functional and looks good enough to wear as an outer layer.
