This is a nice rugged water tight headlamp for the price. A little heavy on the forehead. The interchangeable lens covers are interesting, however there is a holder for one, one can be on the headlamp for use but there is nowhere to store the third lens so I feel it will be hard to keep track of because it is just a little piece of molded plastic (easy to lose).

I have not used these light in pure outdoor darkness, i.e. outside of city influences. However, based on the comments from soldiers at the Forward Operating Bases and other comments, as well as other internet research, it was a no brainer to order four. One for each vehicle, one for personal carry, including my wife. After getting these lights and having store credit from a clothing return, I ordered two more and I am still considering ordering more. In fact, based on what I paid, I could order 500 of these lights and make a small fortune resealing them. Other than my personal lack of testing along the coat, in the rain. around camp and away from artificial light, they are a steal.
Only one filter at a time seems to fit. I agree that the directions are not entirely helpful; there is a piece that may store the lenses that clips onto the headband that the directions fail to address. Red filter to maintain night vision, yellow filter for mist or fog. I have no idea what conditions call for a blue filter.

Sorry for slow reply. I never gave it much thought because I don't bother with blue filter. I did a quick check and yes I can only get one spare lens in the holder without running risk of scratching or breaking the lenses. It is probably a design flaw, but one that has not affected the way I use it mainly with green lens.

It's got red, blue and green lens covers. The light itself is white. But you have to open the hatch to insert the lens cover.

The lamp does not have multi-colored LEDs. Only white. The colored lenses must be changed out, but once installed can slide up for use, or slide down for using the white LED. It is handy if you need to use only one colored lens at a time.
