I didn't expect such a huge difference in the two lines but I was wrong, this thing is super thin making it super bouncy. If you are trying to get into longlining then you may just want to go ahead and get a 1" setup with a rigging system. But if you want something somewhat long and bouncy for tricks then this is it.

My girlfriend and I have had a regular non'Gibbon" 1 inch line for a while now. The 2 inch surfer is tougher, or at least different. Jumping is more difficult than expected, and it just seems like your body has to compensate balance more quickly because the line is that much tighter, so you just have to adjust to it. Like anything it takes time to get used to.
In the end, fun and different, and worth it.

Alright, I love slack lining now because of gibbon... I bought this surf line slack line after my friend bought the original red 20 some foot one.. However it's totally different from the original.. The surfline has a different surface than the oroginal and it is thinner. here is the downside ..Since I got the 92 ft one it's such a pain . Here's why. First of all you need to either put it high up for long distances or tighten it with several ppl as though ur gonna play tug of war. Another pain is rolling it back up. That's when I noticed some minor fraying at the edges. And get a bigger box to carry it back ... However it was quite a nice slack line.. It's just annoying sometimes but it's worth having the extra length if you get more proficient... It's also more bouncy than the original , so it's good to do tricks

The Gibbon Surf line is everything it promises to be. Very versatile and super bouncy. Set it slack and long and work on your Core balance or short and tight to bounce and trick on. It is a good introduction to long lining with a 30m stretch.
