Reviewed by Ms. Mo from California on Wednesday, April 03, 2013First, let me say I am a big fan of Timbuk2. I own at least 15 different bags and a dozen accessories. These bags are durable and will last a lifetime--I purchased my first Timbuk2 bag 10 years ago. That said, this sling bag is made for right handed folks..not southpaws. I wear my bags across the right shoulder which means the clip is digging into my shoulder and hurts. Tried attaching the shoulder pad, but that does not help. As far as the inside, lots of room for kindle, wallet, keys and other small things. Perfect for running errands if you don't need to carry a lot. Unfortunately, I am returning this one.....

It isn't of course, just looks that way. I also didn't care for the strap layout - the padded extension consistently folded under itself when I would slide the bag from front to back. And the buckle down below dug into my side mildly. Probably get used to it after a while but I liked their old style better (for what it is worth I wore a timbuk2 while working as a messenger for years). The overall quality is fine, exactly what you'd expect from them. For me - too small (smaller than I anticipated), too ugly, too uncomfortable.

It hangs perfectly on my back, but if you don't wear it how it is suppose to be worn it can get a little awkward. I love it. It holds my u lock for my bike perfectly, and it holds everything I need it to. My mini fits great into the iPad pouch and the zippered pocket on the front holds my makeup should I chose to carry any. It holds a relatively decent amount of stuff, considering it is suppose to be a "bare minimum" kind of bag. I do sometimes wish that t were a little deeper, like large enough to hold an 8* 11 notebook. However, I have the candy bar backpack for those days. It also doesn't have the key strap, but meh. I really do enjoy this here little bag. The closure is tight, and it will remain so for a while. I've never had anything fall out and I've been using it well over a week

Reviewed by Mad Ann from Boston, MA on Sunday, January 20, 2013I bought this as an potential replacement to the now discontinued Timbuk2 Freestyle 2.0 iPad bag. Timbuk2 bags are, in general, excellent overall - from the design to the fabrics - and they have a lifetime replacement on manufacturers defects - which i used once when the nylon started to fray. . The first thing I noticed was that this bag, which can only hang at an shape angle across the middle of one's back, has no clips to hold it closed. These would have been easy to include - I have no idea why they weren't part of the design - in fact, all of their messenger bags, which hang horizontally, and are thus more likely to keep contents inside, have these clips. So the first thing I had to do was add a carabiner to place across the two loose straps that run horizontally - I have no idea what function these are supposed to serve - but this at least prevented the bag from flying open and dropping large items out - behind me, where i had little hope of seeing them. Small things easily fall out of this bag without using an additional closing device - I haven't use this bag again after losing a few things out the back. There are only 2 strips velcro to keep the flap closed - I know that over time these will pick up lint, etc… and no long hold as well as she new. This bag can only be worn hanging at a sharp angle across the middle of the back or lower back - there isn't enough length of the strap to wear this bag horizontally, nor is there a clip an opening in the strap to use it as a fanny pack. It hurt my lower back when I made the strap too long - I'm a petite woman, so if you are tall, there might not be enough strap, and you have to adjust the strap - which is easy- to make sure it is hanging with the pack mid-back. The bag is very small in depth and thickness - it barely holds an iPad - for which there is a no special padded and closed compartment like in the Timbuk2 Freestyle 2.0 - just a slip in compartment. There isn't much space in this bag for "stuff" - even without an iPad or other tablet being held in it. There are very few zippered compartments inside and none outside, which is one of the things that I love about other bags by Timbuk2 - they tend to be oversized.. There is no key strap using ribbon and a clip, no pen holding slots, no cell phone compartment, nor any secure compartment in which to zip in one's wallet. With an iPad 2 in it - I couldn't stash the amount of stuff I've been able to in the x-small or small messenger - the bag is okay when worn, but after time the strap does lack comfort for the absence of any strap padding - and those iPads can get heavy after a long day - at least for my body.. Buying long matching add-on strap pads has become a standard procedure for my two other Tiimbuk2 bags - the included pads are shorter and velcro-ed on pads that come included with many of their messenger bags. There is no strap pad included with this Timbuk2 bag, and I've never seen in a green color. After reviewing all of the lacks and pros - I would
