I love this coat. It's warm, waterproof and has lots of pockets and storage room. I've gotten compliments in the few days that I've worn it. The weather has been in the 20s and it's keeping me quite warm with just work clothes underneath as I walk to my car, run errands, etc.
I was worried because ... Read More

I loved this jacket. There are subtle variations in the gray color that make it look woven, and the tiny bit of pink is a perfect accent. The jacket was well constructed and the down feels instantly warm, though I did not have a chance to try it in freezing weather. The zippers worked fine on the one I received. The main zipper feels "tight" but exactly like those on the two REI softshells that I have owned, and each one lasted at least 5 years with frequent wear. I am 5'8" and 135 lbs and have a really long torso and arms. I ordered a S. The arms were a perfect length (for my long arms) and yes, are full, but comfortable for moving around and would accommodate layers. The only reason to take off a star and send it back was that the body length was a couple inches too short for my torso.

I haven't been able to wear the jacket yet since it's not yet ski season, but upon first try, it's very warm! I also read other reviews about it running large and didn't find that to be true. I'm 5'2", 123lb, athletic build and the Small is a perfect fit. I also think that it's really neat that it has a built in balaclava! I would always forget mine at home so it's a perfect addition. The only reason why I didn't give this jacket 5 stars is because I haven't actually worn it snowboarding yet.

I have been wearing this coat snowboarding in a variety of conditions. I love the hood. The pit zips are easy to maneuver on the lift. I think it is very snowproof. However,I need to layer as if I'm wearing just a shell. The down is not too warm. Overall I'm happy, the quality is good.

Finally I have found a down jacket that measures up to the expectations I have been looking for. It has well placed pockets. No cold spots what so ever. The outer shell fabric is beautiful. The vents in the underarm and side are perfectly places. I did buy a size larger because of so many bad experiences with other coat running too small. This coat is more true to size. I prefer not being restricted in arm movement. The hood is roomy and adjust well. The inside skirt will work well without making me feel like a mummy. Very pleased with this coat.

Zipper is hard to use. (One star off cause of zipper)
