I have had a lightweight down shell that I have been wearing for years. I wanted to replace it as it did not have a hood. This is the best item for the price that I have found. I have already worn it as a layering piece to the gym several times since I received it. It fits true to size. I order...

This jacket is the ideal weight, fit, and fill for most outdoor activities and basic everyday wear from about twenty to forty-five degrees Fahrenheit. It is light enough to wear underneath another heavier jacket or just by itself. I really like the sleeves that close around my wrists to prevent any air from coming in.
The only aspect of the jacket I don't like is when tiny bits of the fill leak out of the seams. However, this is not a huge problem, as it has not affected the overall integrity of the jacket.
I would highly recommend this jacket; I am very happy with it and will definitely be buying another!

I bought this to replace an 8 year old Lands End coat that I loved. I searched around for about a month trying to find the right combination of style, fill weight and color. This coat had it all. I was worried that it wouldn't be that warm because it is so light and packable, but it stood up to the wind and cold and rain the other day just fine.

I am 5'4" and usually wear a size 6-8 in women's clothing. For outerwear I generally get a size Medium, which is what I ordered in this. The fit was big and boxy and not flattering. Perhaps a small would have fit better? But I ordered a few different jackets to try on and found a Lowe Alpine jacket that was perfect. So this one is going back.

I bought this to wear in the morning to keep me warm when I bus or ride a bike to work (yay that Chicago has a bike share company!) and then stuff in a backpack when I run home; it has worked out very nicely for that, and I find myself wearing it at times other than that as well. I bought the pink- I figured I want to be seen in traffic- and it's a bright pink but pretty. I'm 5'4" and 130# and the small fits over a base layer and my softshell-ish running jacket with no problem. I'm a little concerned that once I'm back in shape the small will be too big, it's a bit baggy now over just one layer. But if that happens I'll probably buy another one in XS. And oh the luxury of three zip pockets! And it is warm- I can wear it over just a t-shirt and be okay when the temps are in the 40s. If it was perfect the hood would be able to be packed away in the collar.
Sorry there is not a temperature rating. Most manufacturers do not have temperature ratings for their garments or footwear due to the number of factors that affect how warm a garment may keep you.
