for regular knives only (not sanduko). Great feature is it has 2 sides. A course side for really dull or chipped knives, plust a ceramic fine side for finishing.

I purchased several of these as stocking stuffers. One of my brothers was present when it arrived and gave it a try. He took his home immediately so it obviously worked well.

Small, light, inexpensive, works, no its not a nice hard Arkansas whetstone, its not even a good diamond stone. But its fairly small, it weights almost nothing and beats the heck out of looking for a suitable rock when your in need. The ceramic is pretty good for a couple stroke touchup and that's generally enough if you're smart enough to bring a good sharp blade in the first place. The carbide will sharpen an edge, sure it will rip it and I don't like doing that to my edges. But its better than trying to skin, scale, gut, or build a fire with a rolled or chiped edge. I usually take a small stone or diamond when I expect to be out a long time or doing heavy cutting and just use one of these for quick touchup and as a backup. I also keep one handy just in case since they're so small and light.
