I needed a light hiking shoe narrow in the heel but wide in the forefoot. I have a neuroma issue and the room up front is critical. The sole is suitably stiff and the long lace area allows a "custom" fit. The light blue color is attractive and GoreTex is always a nice feature for when it gets wet. I... Read More

I own 2 pairs of these & after slipping in wet ground AGAIN in My Vasquez shoes just ordered a 3rd pair. The soles are very grippy and secure.
I have average feet, no problems & these fit right out of box in a 1/2 size smaller than I normally wear. I added a partial insert which gives me more padding for longer hikes. Lots of compliments when I wear the blue ones!

The one bad first- advertised weight is 1lb 8oz but with 2 pairs bought both came in at 1lb 11oz. Maybe nit-picky but higher end shoes should have their specifications correct, many folks are weight minded and drops this to 4 stars. I'm a man and wear an 8.5 and bought the womans 9.5 because the advertised weight for the mens was 1lb 12 oz, a full 4oz more but don't know if the mens weight is true- not a deal breaker. The good- they fit perfect so true to size. Still lightweight but have quality and durable substance. Have only about 25 miles on them but at this point will add them to the collection of backpacking shoes for dryer conditions. Bought the high ankle version in late summer and they are outstanding so thats why the low ankle version was bought.

I have had these shoes for almost a year and they have been and continue to impress. Shoe is true to size, the sole is super grippy, and the goretex offers a great barrier of protection from rain. I wear these shoes everywhere and the seem to be holding up very well.

I ordered the shoe in the purple/wine color because I liked the color. I need to buy superfeet or other replacement liner. The liner that came with the shoe is super cheap and plasticy and tries to come out of the shoe. I have never had that happen with other shoes. It seems odd to have such a cheapo liner in a relatively expensive shoe. I do love the color and would have rated the shoe higher except I now need to purchase liners.

love these shoes. this is probably my 5th pair of Asolo shoes. I have a narrow foot and these always fit great. excellent support. I wear a size 8, but in these I always order a size 7 1/2 and they are size 39 1/2 in EUR size. good the plum. I like the color.

    • Answer I usually wear an 8 1/2. The 8 1/2 in this shoe fits perfectly. I have wide feet as well. One of the best features of this shoe is how adjustable they are for width. If you wear thin socks, you can tighten the laces. If you wear a thick sock, you can open them up a bit. I have some metatarsal problems a lot of shoes aggravate. No these. They are super comfortable. I can recommend these as I am extremely happy with them.

    • Answer I normally wear a size 9 and that is what I ordered. Good fit for me with normal weight hiking socks. I were a B width; there was still some play room to allow for thicker socks. Nice arch support too and I have high arches.

    • Answer I usually wear 8.5 B. I ordered size 8 and fit me very well. Asolo marks size 8 as EU 40, but most of shoes makers will mark EU 40 as US 8.5. I guess 7 might fit for you.

    • Answer I wear an 8 and these Asolos fit perfectly.

    • Answer These are not really 'narrow' but I would not say they are wide. More just normal. They have a firm feel which I like for hiking and outdoor tasks.
As for size I'd say these are .5 size bigger in length. They are really nice I think you'll be happy. Good luck! I'd order the 7

    • Answer I bought mine a half size down from my usual size and they fit. However, I have a narrow foot.

    • Answer I found the Mantra runs long as I usually wear a 12 and can wear a women's 11 Mantra. I have narrow feet and these were pretty full.
Very comfortable shoe and I like that it is a little more rigid than my Keen's.

    • Answer I wear a size 8 to 8.5 depending on the shoe. Also of note my feet are narrow. I bought an 8 in the Asolo and it fits like a charm. If you generally buy shoes in a wide width then this is probably not the shoe for you. It is generous and comfortable in the toe area (but not so much so that it's slips). The lacing allows for adjustments almost all the way down to the toe which could make this shoe very comfortable for a wider foot. So, if you can generally wear average width shoes then I would take the chance on these shoes. Please note that there is not a lot of "cushion" in these shoes....they are rugged and sturdy for challenging outdoor terrain. Hope this helps;-)

    • Answer I usually wear a 9.5, and my 9.5 Asolo hiking shoes fit perfectly. However, I do not have a particularly wide foot, so I do not know if that would make a difference.
