The jacket description does not make it clear that it _does_ have pit zips (an absolute necessity, in my opinion). The jacket fits well, does a great job of keeping you dry and warm, packs small, and is great for hiking. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a friend (or to buy another!).

Material is very nice and I am sure it would wear well, however it tapers in at the hip so didn't work for my curves. There was plenty of room in arms and upper body but too tight to zip at hip. I am short waisted so it falls at mid hip which may also be a factor for me.

Great coat. It's more fitted than I'm used to. That makes it more flattering but I will need to get used to the closer cut. I'm 5' 8", 138#. Got the medium and it fits well. The only thing that's missing is an inside pocket.

Very comfortable, light, and attractive. I usually take a small, but this was quite trim fitting and little constraining around the hips, so I went with a medium, which has the added benefit of being roomy enough to allow for a sweater or light down jacket when it gets chilly.
Only Marmot could confirm but they seem to match up, spec wise. Optima, per STP is 15 oz. wt., 27" length; Minimalist, per Marmot is 14.4 oz. wt. and 27.25" length. Otherwise, all other specs appear identical.

Pretty sure it is. Wore it on a hiking trip in Swiss Alps. Kept me dry thru hours of rain and sleet. Very satisfied.
