The jacket description does not make it clear that it _does_ have pit zips (an absolute necessity, in my opinion). The jacket fits well, does a great job of keeping you dry and warm, packs small, and is great for hiking. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a friend (or to buy another!).

Really happy with the quality and the fact that this is gortex polyester instead of nylon so it's soft and quiet when I move my arms- will be perfect for wet Oregon runs.

I bought this to replace a 20 year old goretex jacket. This one is lighter and has pit zips which are very worthwhile.
Color is good, quality first rate and fit is generous, as desired for possibly layering. Great buy!

I'm really happy with this jacket - I bought it for warm ski days (worked great with a fleece underneath), and I've found that I've used it for much more. It's a really light weight gore-tex, so as good for summer downpours as it is for warmish days on the mountain. I'm 5'9 and a size medium or 8 in most clothes - I ordered a large and it's perfect with a fleece underneath. Marmot is such good quality too - a great purchase.

This is a nice jacket. It is definitely heavier than expected for paclite goretex. It actually feels more like 3 layer goretex. I bought the large initially as it appeared that size 10 was a large, and I usually wear a 10 or a 12 in jackets. The large was pretty large, especially in the hips for me. I could fit a fleece and a jacket under the jacket, which I guess would be great in the wintertime, but I am more likely to wear a paclite jacket (although this feels like thicker paclite if there is such a thing) in the summer. I liked it, and could have lived with it, but it had a pretty obvious flare in the hips. Although I almost kept it, I exchanged it for a medium, and it is a better fit for summer, spring, or fall wear.

I bought this jacket few years ago at full price from athletic store. It is my favorite rain jacket, very breathable, light and still looks brand new. I walked half marathon in December and couldn't be happier.
