I have been wearing Salomon Tactile boots and clogs for years, and find them amazing. I'm on my feet a lot and I found them very supportive, strong, great sense of balance, stability, etc. so I thought to try these shoes. I wore them in the house for a bit but realized soon that something in the heel would dig into my ankle, maybe it was cut just slightly higher than I could accommodate, so I sent them back. But they are very solidly built, lots of cushioning and support. I have a narrow foot and these are a bit wider than I would like, although they are not wide for most people, just regular. I also didn't love the pull string laces as it created a uniform tension and made it hard to adjust the fit to the proportions of my foot. In fact the pull string is what made the shoe cut into my ankle, when I tightened it enough to feel secure in the toe area it then tightened uniformly and caused the ankle problem. I like these shoes a lot and would be great for someone with the right shaped foot, probably a little wider than mine.

I will be on vacation and have limited space in my suitcase. I was looking for a shoe that I could use for biking, running and hiking. I like the fit on these and think they will work as a multi-sport shoe. So far I've only used them for biking but they felt good with a stiff sole and nice arch support. They are also very stylish and catchy looking without being too bright like many of the athletic shoes out there. I would recommend them.
