At the retail price of these, I expected better. The back walls ("quarter" in shoemakers' terms) is a little flimsy, and subject to folding in under the foot. This can be partially compensated by tightening the lace, but then they are harder to slip into. The sole seems sturdy enough for limited outdoor wear. They do look nice.

I purchased these for a Christmas gift for my husband. Unfortunately, due to his wide feet, I had to return them for a larger size but he couldn't be happier with the sz 12 moccasins. They fit perfect and are made extremely well. Great product at a super great price!! And the exchange of sizes was very accomidating as well.

Their skin lives on for decades in these sharp, warm, driving Mocs that have a great traction sole. Why, you'll take the strength of the bison with you wherever you go. Surely Sierra Trading Post didn't kill bison just to make these Moccasins, but in curing and tanning and designing awesome footwear, they have upcycled the once unique animal skin so indigenous to our country. Waste not, want not. Learn to tread ahead - from the herds that have outlasted extinction, be kind to your Bison Footwear. They are part of the circle of the life, you will one day help fertilize the prairie they draw nourishment from, and so it goes. Long as it ain't a one way deal, you can wear their skin proudly knowing you'll be decomposing for animal herbs and grasses when you complete your cycle. Yippee ki aye, brothers and sisters!
