Bought this for my seven year old granddaughter for her intro to skiing. It's size-appropriate, soft, and fits nicely under her helmet.

This balaclava was a great deal and will be great head and face protection for mild winter weather.

I should have read the other reviews more closely, but this "balaclava" is will not cover both the face/nose area and still come to the front edge of the helmet. Based on the picture that actually comes with the product it appears it was designed to only come below the bottom lip of the child. I don't really see the point if you can't cover the mouth/nose.

Strange fit with top part too far back. Doesn't even come close to touching forehead. Thin material, but description eluded to that. Overall, not a good 'hat' to keep head warm, but may work well under helmet for protecting ears and neck from cold (but not forehead!)

That being said, my six year old son absolutely loves it and has been able to wear it on milder days.

Fits well, provides good face/chin coverage. haven't had a good chance to say how odor resistant it is.
