These are definitely heavy duty jeans, well constructed and still very comfortable not stiff at all. The inseam and waist are true to size and the legs are a full cut, very wide. I'm not sure what the giant hammer loop is for but I still like these jeans. They should hold up well for a long time, typical of Filson products.

these jeans look sharp, are quite heavy, and appear to be well made. The guessed crotch is a really nice feature. The hammer loop is gigantic, and the inner suspender buttons seem a little flimsy. However, I think these pants will hold up for a long time.

Maybe you can find a less expensive pair of work pants, in fact, I'm sure you can with STP's continuing offerings, but I like these enough to stalk for the best % off and pop. Yes, it would be nice if they were USA made, they're not. I'm a Filson fan that can't usually afford Filson. Thank you STP for making these available.
Instructions say machine wash warm and tumble dry low. I just wash these pants with the rest of my clothes and yes they have shrunk a bit, but not significant amount. If you plan on wearing long underware underneath then you may want to size up. My husband loves these pants and his coworkers have commented to him on the quality and asked where to get them.

I bought these for my husband and he loves them. The instructions say machine wash warm and dry low. I washed them warm and dry hot and have had no issue with shrinking. They hold up well and still fit good. These are not used for dress but for casual and work,so of course i don't iron them. We would purchase again! This is the second pair with no issue. Great pants and amazing quality! Hope this has helped.

I did not find this to be so.....at least with my 42x32 jeans.
I'm 6'0" and weigh 240 and love these jeans.
These are not for the faint of heart, fashion followers.
These are for the man who sets the standard.
I bought 3 pair, cut the hammer loop off the two I wear (it was just too big).
Button braces Finnish out the outstanding look.

Machine wash warm
Do not bleach
Tumble dry low
Warm iron if needed
Do not dry clean
This is what tag says (standard operating procedure for denim, yes?) I'm wearing a pair of these for two days of work, then wash and dry and cycle them back in later in the week. I've not seen any significant shrinkage and I dry them at my dryer's higher temp. I do, however, anticipate shrinkage at purchase and buy a longer length so I don't get all high watered out. I think a person would extend the life of their jeans if they kept them out of a dryer completely. Hope this helps Dan S from Mass.

Measured this am and they seem to run about an inch and a half over the stated waist size after a couple of washings. But a 33 in these and carharts seem to fit great. I've just never measured them before.
