These make great winter undershirts. They cling, but they give. Warm when it's cold, but not uncomfortable when inside a warm room. Nice and long, so there's never a plumber butt. Same with the sleeves. Nice buy at the STP coupon price.

If you appreciate sleeves of a length that won't pull up and expose your wrists and forearms every time you reach up or bend your elbows - and likewise for the torso - you'll like this shirt as much as I do. Also, I'd suggest buying one size up if you don't like the feel of a real tight compression fit as the 45% nylon makes for a lot of form-fit ability. I give it 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 based on too much nylon content, and less than perfect Chinese manufacturing, but it does work as advertised and is a nice base-layer shirt. I like the Red Ram long-sleeve zip 100% merino better. Look at that one too.

I just got back from the WA Olympic National Park Beach strip where I did not take this wool/nylon shirt off with the exception to get a little D3 in the sun that came out between showers. Carried about 30 pounds of mostly great food and got sweated up on the way out and back. The shirt kept me warm in the breeze and wicked well. I slept in it and it kept my shoulders warm in my sleeping blanket.

The very things that people complained about in other reviews I felt were the shirts greatest strengths. The nylon makes the shirt hug the body and the shirt is cut supper long so it can be pulled down over my butt, which is an old NOLS trick.

At sub $20 this is the real "smart wool"

Haven't been able to trail test in cold conditions. Around town in low 40s doesn't seem as warm as full merino wool base layer. This blend should be tougher and easier care than full merino. I am 6-1 190 and ordered XL. Sleeves are long but I like that. Shirt is still a snug fit. I wear L in regular shirts and XL Ts are loose fitting. This is designed to be a compression fit so one size larger will be form fit but not T shirt fit.
