These socks aren't really intended to be running socks, but I was looking for something warmer with a good bit of cushioning, and these fit the bill perfectly. The height is just right and the tab on the back is amply thick to prevent the sock from sliding down on the heel. The wool is tightly kni... Read More

I regret only buying one pair of these! I am a size 13. The XL fit great. They are supportive, comfortable and do not slip down my ankle like some ankle socks.

Fit was not what I expected---smaller than expected.

I wear these both for running and for everyday wear, both summer and winter. Usual Goodhew quality - wool beats cotton any day.

I wear a 9 shoe and usually wear an M sock - up to 9.5 shoe size. The ML from Goodhew is actually a large and would fit a 9.5 to 11 so does not work for me. Nice sock otherwise

Well made socks, a little thick but expect that from a wool blend.

    • Answer Well, this is difficult since they really only come in two sizes. I have a size 13 foot (that is MY shoe size) and I purchased the L/XI version (the larger of the two). They fit fine and I like them a lot--they're thicker than normal socks and provide great padding for the foot. I prefer wearing those "barefoot" style shoes when I work out (six days a week) and these work really well in those shoes, but they're also fine in my other more traditional ones, as well.

I hope you find this helpful...I just don't know a lot about the socks other than that I like them and they fit ME fine. You could try getting live customer service on the Sierra site..they're very nice and always helpful.

      Good luck!
