Beautifully made jacket. Unfortunately a little small for me.
Had to send back. Wish they would have had x-l.

The description says this jacket can be used for hiking and cycling, but really this is designed mainly for cross-country skiing. I have a Craft cycling jacket that is 23 inches down the front (size medium). This PXC jacket is 27 inches down the front (also size medium). I have a normal length torso and the cycling jacket works great for cycling. This PXC jacket runs down below my waist, causing it to uncomfortably bunch up in front when I'm bent over in a normal cycling position. On the other hand, for upright sports like skiing or maybe winter running it should be great. Construction quality is excellent for the STP price. The jacket has a softshell windblock fabric on the front and sleeves, but a more breathable fleece section in the back to keep you from overheating. Light fleece interior should keep you warm during active sports. Fit is relaxed, as in not skin-tight, but not baggy enough to wear a heavy sweater underneath. It's probably designed to be worn over a compression base layer at most, which is fine with me. I'm not a fan of layering. Softshells give you great breathability and a wide temperature range, so you really only need to wear this over a base layer (heavy or light base layer depending on conditions).
